The celebration will feature dishes and desserts inspired by six remarkable figures in history

Six important figures who left their mark on history will be honoured with dishes inspired by their life stories. They are: Carolina Maria de Jesus (writer and diarist), Amália Rodrigues (singer and actress), Maria de Lourdes Modesto (Portuguese chef), Margherita of Savoy (the first queen consort of unified Italy), Maria Quitéria de Jesus (the first woman to join the Brazilian Army) and Anita Garibaldi (Brazilian revolutionary).

During the dinner, guests will be able to enjoy dishes such as “Broth of Resistance – Carolina’s Bean Stew”, a flavourful and nutritious black bean broth, prepared simply but seasoned to enhance its taste with garlic, onion, bay leaf and a touch of pepper, finished with a drizzle of olive oil, fresh herbs and small slices of smoked sausage or crispy bacon.
